As a part of an inquiry on the meaning of various objects, students created “self-portraits” using the symbology of objects. Students represented their own characteristics through a composite of several objects, exploring two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms to do so. Through this exercise, students explored the meaning of objects by themselves, and also the relation of the self to objects.
